SyncBiller documentation

Everything needed to install, activate, sync, troubleshoot and safely update your SyncBiller connector.

Getting started

From Tally computer to cloud visibility

Install SyncBiller only on the Windows computer that runs Tally. Your subscribers, reports and authorisation are managed securely in the SyncBiller web panel.

01

Create your account

Start a free trial with your business email. Verify the email, then sign in to your SyncBiller panel.

02

Install the connector

Download SyncBiller on the Windows computer where TallyPrime is installed. Complete the installer and open SyncBiller.

03

Activate the device

In your SyncBiller panel, approve the new device or enter the activation code shown for your subscription.

04

Open your Tally company

Keep the required company open in Tally. SyncBiller detects the available company and starts the authorised sync.

Sync

What SyncBiller sends

SyncBiller reads the accounting data permitted by your selected privacy mode, then securely uploads it to the SyncBiller platform for reports and authorised access.

Recommended first sync

  1. Open the Tally company and ensure the connector shows Tally as connected.
  2. Approve the device before pressing Sync Now.
  3. Wait for Company, Masters and Vouchers to complete, then confirm totals in the web reports.

Cloud Mode

Approved business datasets are available for cloud reports.

Hybrid Mode

Choose exactly which datasets may be uploaded.

Private Local Mode

Keep operational data local with restricted cloud visibility.

Desktop dashboard

Understand the status indicators

The dashboard separates Tally, cloud, device approval and internet status so a single failure does not look like a complete sync failure.

Tally

Connected means SyncBiller can read the currently open Tally company. Not Found means Tally is not running, is not reachable, or the company is not open.

SyncBiller Cloud

Connected means the desktop connector can reach your approved cloud service. Check internet access if it is offline.

Device

Authorised means your subscriber administrator has approved this computer. Approval Pending means sync is intentionally paused until approval.

Internet

Online means the computer can reach the internet. It does not by itself prove that Tally or the cloud service is connected.

Updates

Safe beta updates

SyncBiller checks for a new approved release after opening and periodically while it is running. When available, choose Download update, then Restart and install.

Beta note: Early Windows releases may show an Unknown Publisher/SmartScreen warning during first installation because the app is not yet code-signed. Download installers only from the official SyncBiller link supplied by your organisation.

Troubleshooting

Quick checks before contacting support

Most connection issues are resolved by checking the four dashboard statuses in order.

Tally not found

Open TallyPrime, open the intended company, then refresh SyncBiller.

Device approval pending

Ask the Subscriber Administrator to approve the device in the web panel or use the authorised activation code.

Cloud offline

Check internet access, then confirm the SyncBiller service URL and device activation are valid.

A module failed

Open Sync Diagnostics, copy the latest error details, and send them to support without sharing passwords or API keys.
